Brackley will be looking to get that elusive first win of the season as they host Thorney on Saturday afternoon.

It has been difficult start to the season for Brackley as they have struggled to play to their full potential for a whole 80 minutes. They suffered a last minute 17-12 loss away to Stamford College Old Boys last week in what was a much improved performance and they will be looking to build on that at home to Thorney.

The visitors have also had a tough start to the season having lost their first two matches without a bonus point to Birstall and Biggleswade – two teams that came down into the league this year. Brackley got the better of Thorney in their two games last season winning 15-12 away before a convincing 69-10 win at Nightingale Close but will be wary of the sizeable Thorney pack.

Before the action kicks off on the pitch, the club will be showing the England v Argentina World Cup game on the big screen at 9am with breakfast rolls available. It is set to be a great day, so come cheer the lads on as they try to get that opening win.
