It's a big weekend of rugby for Brackley with both 1st XV and Development teams in action following the England vs. New Zealand match.

Having won their last two games, Brackley 1st XV will be looking to continue their momentum as they host Aylestone St James. Last week a powerful performance helped Brackley hold on to a 23-19 bonus point win away to Wellingborough O.G's moving them up to 6th in the league. However the team know they still have plenty of improving to go if they are to challenge for a promotion spot

The visitors this week are renowned for having a sizeable pack, which is always a challenge for any team they face. Aylestone have had a tough start to the season as they sit bottom of the league having failed to earn a point so far, but did show an improved performance last week losing 14-5 at home to Birstall. Brackley know this is not a side to take lightly as both games last season required 80 minute performances with Brackley winning 22-5 at Aylestone and 31-22 at home.

Brackley Development Team return to action on Saturday as they take the short trip to take on Northampton BBOB 3rd XV. In their last match the Development Team lost 29-10 to Towecestrians 3rd XV in a game that was much closer than the scoreline would indicate. With several players returning from injury, there has been excellent availability this week meaning the team will take a strong 20-man squad to Northampton.

Before the 1st XV and Development Team take to the pitch, the club will be showing the England vs. New Zealand World Cup Semi Final match on the big screen at 9am with breakfast available. It is sure to be an excellent day at the club so come cheer the lads on as they try to make it 3 wins in a row.
